Help Out TCS
To help keep this site running the way it does now and even growing in the future, please help out by making donations to help cover the incurred hosting costs.

We're not asking for big donations although they are welcome, but rather numerous small donations. If everyone gives $.50 - $1.00 on a regular basis that would be a tremendous help.

TNA Impact Review - 04/19/07

TNA Impact Review
Written by SystemCrash

This will be my last review until I get back from vacation. I’m just going to review what happened you want in depth results check out Lunchbox’s results on LordsOfPain.

Jeff Jarrett’s interview in the ring sounded like a face Jarrett when he first went to WCW in 1996. It’s weird to imagine Triple J as a face now, but it’s long overdue just like Triple H’s face turn. Jarrett talks about how its his time to give back, well I think Jarrett has been giving a lot after all he laid down clean to Joe twice, when someone like Triple H would have buried him.

Kurt Angle ran his mouth a bit until Sting came out to put him in his place. I have to say the gold medalist gym teacher comment was hilarious because could you imagine what Kurt Angle would be doing if it wasn’t for pro wrestling? What does this all lead to? Sting and Kurt Angle next week on Impact for Sting’s title shot. Well for once I didn’t read the spoilers but why do I smell a WWE booking on this match?

Team Cage was backstage and Cage talked about teaming up with Abyss to face Team 3D tonight for the tag belts, and if Cage didn’t walk out with three belts he will be unhappy. I’d rather see Cage and AJ team up.

So before they went to commercial we get the intros for AJ, Rhino, Joe, and Daniels in fatal four way. Does Daniels think he is the second coming of Sting with the mask and bat? Why doesn’t he just paint his face I’m sure Sting would help.

Well the match could have been better and Rhino was definitely the odd man out in this match. This match was kinda sloppy considering the four men in the ring. Seeing Daniels and AJ team up makes me miss them as tag partners, since the tag division is pretty much dead. However what the hell was Joe doing in this match is he back to being a mid carder?

JB was backstage with Kurt Angle, says don’t mistake him being speechless to be confused what was going on in his mind. Kurt you don’t even know what is going on in your mind these days. Kurt you’ve been in the business 8 years and you say you are in your prime, I’m sure Sting’s body is in better shape than yours. Sting took time off on a regular basis especially towards the end of the 90’s.

Well Chris Harris comes out before we go to commercial but before we do we have pointless bitches brawling and someone getting a faceful of taint when Gail Kim was tossed over the guardrail and into the crowd.

Bobby Roode comes out after commercial to face Chris Harris and to be honest I don’t give a shit anymore about Roode, Young, Harris, Storm, Kim, and Jackie. They announced that Harris and Storm will face each other in a texas death match at the next PPV. FUCK THAT! Can we seriously have a wrestling match these days without some stupid name attached or gimmick? I can see a hardcore match between these two or a cage match since they were the kings of the six sides of steel. After Roode won with the handcuffs, he berates Eric and is wondering who is friend is and told him he has till next week to reveal who it is. This has been going on for two months and I don’t care, and we know its not Petey. As much as I complain about things not having proper build up, I’d rather them end this Roode/Young thing now because its going nowhere.

Abyss is backstage not speaking while Mitchell is berating him and threatening to call the cops. Abyss needs to take that chain and choke the life out of the people who have been booking the shit he has gone thru since Bound For Glory.

Paparazzi Productions now you know I dig it ooh yeah. This week Shelley is wondering when Nash is going to help him like he has helped Black Machismo. Sonjay Dutt is pissed when he comes to look like Diesel and tells Nash to stick it, but atleast he can step over the top rope now YEAH! These skits are short and sweet and usually make me laugh so keep it up Nash and Shelley.

Well Team 3D and Cage/Abyss is our featured contest of the evening. Wasn’t that bad of a match considering they just threw Abyss and Cage together as a team. Atleast LAX kept their nose out of the match. Team 3D just needs a team to feud with besides LAX oh wait there aren’t any other teams besides VKM and Serotonin and they are busy with other storylines. AMW? They have the russo special match at the next PPV. Daniels and AJ, they broke up months ago. The Naturals have just dropped off the face of the earth.

After the commercial we come back to Team Cage beating down Abyss and busting him in a very nasty way with the barbwire baseball bat, chair shots, oh my. Atleast Mitchell got a black hole slam about friggin time. Abyss the new mankind!

Overall Impact was better than it has been in months there was a lot more wrestling on this show. I’m just curious to where they are going to go with Jarrett and Abyss. Atleast we know Abyss and Sting won’t have a match at the next PPV. The only time I was pissed at the show was when they announced the Texas Death Match between Harris and Storm. What’s the difference between a texas death match and say a death match from Washington State?

On that note I’ll see you guys on the Impact before Sacrifice and maybe we’ll order that PPV if shit is actually going to change in TNA and we don’t have rematch after rematch after rematch besides the Harris/Storm match.
